Design Statement Located on the edge of Taos Mesa overlooking the Ranchitos Valley, this House and Studio Guesthouse are inspired by a combination of the two prominent Northern New Mexico styles, pitched roof territorial and flat roof pueblo Architecture with a hint of Asian details. The design and layout follow the outline of a house that once stood on the site. A strong axial geometry crossed the plan and pulls in the views from all four directions. The house contains numerous wood details executed by Taos’ finest woodworking trades people.
